Welcome to the Chaos

Hi, I am Frank — Professional Dad, Amateur Everything Else

Welcome to CurbsideDad, the little corner of the internet where parenting adventures, family chaos, product reviews, and questionable life decisions all come together in one place.

I am a work-from-home dad, husband, coffee enthusiast, and full-time employee of two tiny bosses who believe “quiet time” is a personal attack.

My days are spent balancing conference calls, school drop-offs, snack negotiations, diaper emergencies, and the occasional attempt to remember why I walked into a room in the first place. If you have ever attended a work meeting while simultaneously searching for a missing shoe and explaining why crayons are not a food group, you’re among friends.

How It All Started

Like many parents, I quickly realized that nothing truly prepares you for raising children.

Not the books.

Not the advice.

Not even that one friend who swore parenting was “mostly common sense.”

One day you are a functioning adult, and the next you are debating whether a chicken nugget counts as a vegetable because it is touching broccoli.

So, I started writing.

This blog is my way of documenting the beautiful, hilarious, exhausting roller coaster that is family life. It is a place where I can share stories, lessons learned, parenting wins, parenting failures, and the occasional discovery that my children are somehow smarter than I am.

What You’ll Find Here

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parenting Adventures

Real stories from the front lines of fatherhood. No perfect-parent nonsense here, just honest experiences, funny moments, and survival strategies from a dad doing his best.

📝 Family Life & Daily Chaos

From school mornings that feel like military operations to bedtime routines that somehow last longer than a Netflix series.

⭐ Honest Reviews

As a parent, I buy things hoping they’ll make life easier.

Sometimes they do.

Sometimes they become expensive dust collectors.

I’ll tell you which is which.

🍳 Dad-Friendly Recipes

Meals that are:

  • Quick enough for busy parents
  • Cheap enough for family budgets
  • Tasty enough that the kids might eat them.
  • Simple enough that I can’t accidentally set off the smoke detector.

(No promises on that last one.)

My Parenting Philosophy

I’ve learned that being a great parent isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about showing up.

It’s about loving your kids on the days when they’re sweet, and especially on the days when they’ve somehow covered the dog in yogurt while arguing with Alexa.

It’s about making memories, laughing through the chaos, and accepting that sometimes dinner comes from the air fryer and that’s perfectly okay.

Fun Facts About Me

  • I can hear a child whisper “Dad” from three rooms away.
  • I cannot hear my wife calling my name from six feet away.
  • I have stepped on enough LEGO bricks to qualify for military honors.
  • My coffee is often reheated more times than it was originally brewed.
  • I possess the unique ability to find every toy except the one my child is looking for.
  • I’ve said “Because I said so” immediately after promising myself I never would.

💙 Something Close to My Heart

While this blog is full of parenting stories, dad jokes, family adventures, and the occasional kitchen disaster, there are also a couple of topics that matter deeply to me: men’s mental health and bullying among children.

🧠 Men’s Mental Health Matters

As dads, husbands, and men in general, we’re often told to “tough it out,” “man up,” or keep our struggles to ourselves. The truth is that life can be overwhelming. Parenting, work, finances, relationships, and the pressure to always have everything under control can take a toll on anyone.

I’m not an expert or a therapist, just a regular dad who believes it’s okay to admit when things are difficult.

Here, you’ll occasionally find honest conversations about stress, anxiety, burnout, self-care, and the importance of checking in on ourselves and each other. Because being strong doesn’t mean carrying everything alone. Sometimes being strong means asking for help.

And let’s be honest: if we can ask our kids to talk about their feelings, we should probably be willing to do the same.

🤝 Standing Up Against Bullying

As a parent, one of my biggest hopes is to raise kind, respectful kids who know how to treat others with compassion.

Bullying is something far too many children experience, whether it’s in school, online, or on the playground. It can leave lasting scars that aren’t always visible.

That’s why you’ll sometimes see posts about kindness, empathy, confidence-building, and helping kids stand up for themselves and others. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, accepted, and valued for who they are.

If we can teach our children anything, I hope it’s this:

Be kind. Include others. Stand up for what’s right. And never make someone feel small so you can feel big.

🌟 My Goal for This Blog

At the end of the day, I hope CurbsideDad is more than just a parenting blog. I hope it’s a place where parents can laugh, learn, relate, and feel a little less alone.

Because none of us have all the answers.

We are all just figuring it out as we go, one school run, one bedtime story, one cold cup of coffee, and one dad joke at a time.

☕ Join the Journey

If you are a parent trying your best, reheating the same cup of coffee for the third time, wondering if you are doing this whole parenting thing right—you are in the right place.

CurbsideDad is not about perfection. It is about real life, real parenting, real struggles, and real laughs along the way.

Whether you are here for parenting tips, family stories, product reviews, recipes, discussions about men’s mental health, or conversations about raising kind kids in a sometimes-unkind world, I would love for you to be part of the community.

🚗 Let us Connect

  • Leave a comment and share your own parenting stories.
  • Subscribe so you never miss a post.
  • Share your victories, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Join the conversation about fatherhood, family life, mental health, and raising children who make the world a little better.

Because parenting was not meant to be done alone.

And if my stories can make you laugh, think, or simply remind you that you’re not the only one hiding in the pantry for five minutes of peace, then this blog is doing exactly what it was created to do.

So, pull up a chair, grab a coffee, and stick around.

The kids are probably about to do something blog-worthy anyway.

Welcome to CurbsideDad. Let us navigate the chaos together. 💙🚗☕👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
